Report: Records search on Joe the Plumber improper

An agency director improperly used state computers to find personal information on "Joe the Plumber," a government watchdog said in a report released Thursday. There was no legitimate business purpose for the head of Ohio's Department of Job and Family Services to order staff to look up the records, Inspector General Tom Charles said.

That's what I thought. Democrats pick on the little guy that they pretend to stand for!

Not-so-subtle associations of Obama with socialist revolution

The Patriot Room shows a picture of a flag of the communist revolutionary Che Guevara in Obama’s Houston campaign office! How's that for subtlety! Also check out The Patriot Room's take on McCain v. Obama on Patriotism. Yes, the election is over, but it's not too late to understand the seriousness of what is happening to America and what we need to do to save this nation.

Bail out the US auto industry?

Absolutely not! Let 'em fall apart and re-build into something that works. The big three are such pathetic companies that no amount of money thrown at them will fix them. No amount! Might as well throw those billions of bail-out money on a bonfire! The best thing the government could do is relax any unnecessary regulations that are holding the industry back and therefore making it uncompetitive with Japan.

In addition to government regulations that hold back the auto and other US industries, there are three other major reasons why these companies are deathly ill and can't be saved:

  1. Bureaucracy:
These companies are badly afflicted with the disease of bureaucracy. Many big companies are, as the more intelligent founders sell the company off to shareholders who often are not as smart, don't care quite as much about the company and don't have the same focused control. Being big and old, the big three have an especially bad case of this organizational disease.

  2. Bad reputation for gas-guzzlers:
The sting of high gas prices, now the bad economy is making Americans rethink their orgy of gasoline hogging. How is it that gas mileage in US-made autos seems to have gotten worse since the 80's, not better?!? And even Japan has somewhat abandoned the great niche they had. What happened to the "rice burner" cars and pickups Japan churned out in the late 70's and 80's? These vehicles were simpler in design and got great gas mileage. Something tells me government regulation dealt them a blow, in addition to consumer demand, i.e. Americans insanely obsessed with burning gas just to show off for friends.

  3. Unions:
Saving the best for last? US automakers have allowed themselves to become fully diseased by the unions. This dramatically increases costs, complicates operations and business decisions. If the government has to meddle in the industry to save that part of the economy, one of the most effective things they could do is outlaw unions in the auto industry. Of course it won't happen, and the union will continue to bite the hand that feeds them, until they bankrupt and destroy the company they work for, as they have countless others.

I don't believe the automakers are salvageable as-is. They need such a radical overhaul and, as usual, the government has no clue how to really fix the problem (especially under Democrat rule), but government may very well be part of the problem.

Obama health plan to cost $75 billion

Umm, yeah... I think that's waaay underestimated, if Obama gets his way. I doubt this "analysis" takes into account the massive collapse of small business in the US that will logically follow such economic poison.

Joe the Plumber's Website

Just a little blurb here for Joe the Plumber's website, SecureOurDream.com. Keep an eye on Joe, as he spreads his message. The left despises him. They hate that he can still preach the American dream despite life struggles. They want him to give up and beg for welfare. Joe's a real man and he's not backing down though!

Stock Market Plummets in Reaction to Obama!

The stock market plummeted something like 12% in the two trading days following Obama's election. 12%! That is an enormous drop for market averages/indexes.

It kinda says it all, doesn't it? Those who live and breath finance and economy are scared to death of what Obama will do to the economy: socialist and liberal programs that will not work, new taxes and regulations that will kill hope, ambition and innovation. Now we're pretty much guaranteed a second Great Depression. Hope all you Obama voters are happy with it. You deserve it. The rest of us don't.

Don't panic... that's not good for you or the country. Forget investing in stocks, at least in general. There will be a few good stocks out there, but more rare, for sure. You better have something pretty close to inside information or special knowledge, because otherwise stocks are a bad bet under Obama. This is basically what Jim Cramer, the "Mad Money" guy said... and Jim's a Democrat!!! I know... ain't that funny, ironic and all? He's saying Obama will gut the stock market yet he's voting for him? May that make sense in another universe, but not mine. Anyway, if Mr. Cramer says this, and he has motivation to make Democrats look good, then you better believe it. What should you invest in? Your own business or real estate. Buy real estate at rock-bottom prices with less-disputable value. Start a strong, profitable family business, if you don't have one already and do whatever it takes to make it work. Don't be passive on any investment. Whether the economy is good or bad, it always pays off to do whatver you can to make your money grow faster. You'll still be able to build wealth in this economy... you'll just have to work much harder and smarter.

Oh yeah, and if the country continues to move to the left, start planning on what other country you should move to within a few years to protect your wealth and financial rights. As McCain mentioned a couple times, the US is no longer the most attractive nation to do business in, and entrepenuers and large companies are starting to figure this out. Just like most dot-coms decide to incorprate in Delaware instead of the communist state of California, businessmen will more and more start up or move their businss operations and investments to less parasitic nations. This is another concepts that Democrats do not understand at all. What are you going to do, Democrats, shoot them as they try to escape with their businesses and money? Hmmm, sounds like other communist entities I remember. The exodus has indeed already began, and will only get worse unless the US can guarantee lower business taxes and regulations.

Joe the Plumber for President!

Joe the Plumber is my hero and I'm very serious.

This man has:

1. The intelligence to see through the spell Obama has on everyone and...

2. The balls to confront him.

...and the Democrats hate him for it. Yes, the Democrats... who pretend to be for blue collar folks. But as soon as one of them grows a brain and calls them out on their scam-of-an-agenda, watch out! I think everyone knows how shamelessly and unnecessarily the leftist media picked on Joe... with totally irrelevant criticisms, because they didn't have legitimate criticisms! Democrats seem to do Joe and blue-collar workers the same way they stereotype and limit blacks. Deomcrats insist that they must be stupid whiners, eternally cry and cowardly demand short-sighted welfare and such, instead of getting a brain, ambition and courage to do and think the right thing. Somebody like Joe isn't supposed to happen in the Democrat's little, warped view of reality. Yes, they hated him so much, there were even death threats. Death threats! For a man who simply questioned the wisdom of punishing hard work and success.

My core philosophy of government is pretty much Joe's. And like Joe, I grew up poor, in a blue-collar family. That doesn't mean that I must want welfare. I want opportunity. The government doesn't need to create more welfare and programs to fix the problems. The government is the problem. Most Democrats can't come close to comprehending this. We have too much taxes. Too many regulations and too much red tape at every level of government.

We should even question barriers to economic opportunity like patenting. It's a myth that it helps the little guy - more often the goliath corporation with armies of patent lawyers... but I guess that should be another article.

On Hannity and Colmes one night, I think few noticed some of the words of wisdom Joe was trying to get out, like that the government needs to be about half the size that it is. I agree entirely. Cut governent in half, then cut taxes in half six months later and you'll have the deficit paid off too. How do you cut governent in half? Get rid of socialist programs, except for very important things like education, of course. Get rid of unecessary laws, regulations, tax code complexity that are poisoning this economy!
